Orchards is an area of approximately 5 square miles of homes, small businesses, and shopping centers. It is bordered to the northeast by Hockinson, to the north by Brush Prairie, to the west by Five Corners, and to the south by the city limits of Vancouver. It was originally called “Fourth Plain” by the Hudson Bay Company, which was founded in 1825 along the Columbia River.
