“A book is a gift you can open again and again.” Garrison Keillor
We realize most books are accessible with our smart devices, but both of us are big fans of good old-fashioned books and libraries. Libraries continue to be a great resource in our communities, and Cascade Park Community Library is no exception. It’s located at 600 NE 136th Avenue in Vancouver.
The library offers special events and story-time activities for children and families. Fostering a love of books and reading begins at an early age. Parents will be pleased to hear they offer programs for babies 3-18 months, toddler storytime, and reading circles for 3-6 year olds. They also offer various foreign language groups.
Cascade Park Community Library also has two meeting rooms available for public use during regular library hours. You can shop for gently used books at bargain prices in the front lobby. You can also hop on their free wifi with your personal devices for unlimited internet access. Or use one of their library computers or check out a laptop.
The library is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 8pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9am to 6pm.
